There are times when you will need to adjust the times with Crockpot or Instapot; for instance, when cooking the pork adobo, I will turn on the start Crockpot, to warm it up. I will adjust the Crockpot for just 2 hours, instead of 4 hours.

The cooking time will need to be adjusted depending on the cut of meat. To make double sure that the pork is cooked; chops, roasts, loins, and tenderloin the internal temp should be 145 degrees F, followed by a 3- minute rest. Ground pork should always be cooked to 160 degrees F.

Although thermometers are the best way to determine if your pork is done cooking, you can gauge the doneness of pork by the color of the juice that comes out of it when you poke a hole in it with a knife or fork. If the juices that come out of it when you poke a hole in it with a knife or fork. If the juices that come out of the pork run clear or are very faintly pink, the pork is done cooking.

Pairing Wine With Chicken Adobo

The Philippines’ most well-known dish is adobo. It comes with either chicken or pork, or both. This meal is occasionally served spicy, so pair it with something light to medium-bodied and low in alcohol to lower the intensity. Off0dry Riesling, with spicy and sweet notes, that contrast with the chili and thick sauce, is a terrific choice. Because Adobo contains vinegar, a wine with high acidities such as Pinot Noir or Chianti, is recommended. Prosecco can also help to balance the acidity and saltiness of adobo.
