Best Crispy Garlic Chicken Wings

My favorite part of the chicken, are wings, I love wings and these are the Best Crispy Garlic Wings I’ve ever tasted; made with the Perfect Blend Flour, Almond Flour, olive oil, Johnny’s All-Purpose Seasonings, and Johnny’s Garlic Spread Seasoning and served with your favorite with Litehouse Blue Cheese Dressing for dipping sauce. Perfect for game day.

I must admit, I have an insane addiction to wings. I would stock up on bags of wings from Costco. You get the best bang for your bucks. So, even though we go to Costco… Oh, I would say 2 -3 times a week and I have yet to finish the previous bag;  I would pick up another bag. You can tell with all these wing recipes I have here on this site.

How to Make Best Crispy Garlic Chicken Wings

The most important step is to make sure after rinsing the wings of all the blood, pat the wings real well with a paper towel. It takes patience, but it’s well worth it. 

You will then gather all the ingredients: Perfect Blend flour, and Johnny’s All-purpose seasoning made with Perfect Blend flour, and Johnny’s All-purpose seasoning and place all into Ziploc bag. Put several chicken wings, a few at a time, in the Ziploc bag, seal it and shake. Place the coated wings on the cooling rack with baking sheet in a single layer. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Take it out and coat the chicken wings a second time. Now you are ready to deep fry them. Although the key is to make sure to turn over halfway through the cooking time. Although you can use conventional/convection oven, you can cut your cooking time in half by using an Air Fryer.

What you will need:

  • 2 – 4 lbs Chicken Wings
  • Organic Perfect Blend Flour
  • Almond Flour
  • Johnny’s All-Purpose seasoning
  • Johnny’s Garlic Spread Seasoning
  • Tarragon
  • Freshly Ground Pepper to taste

What is the Perfect Blend Flour?

The Organic Perfect Blend Flour is from Namaste Foods is made with wholesome ingredients such as Sweet brown rice flour, tapioca starch, Brown rice flour, arrowroot starch, sorghum flour, and xanthan gum to ensure only necessary and healthy ingredients that are good for the body.

Best Crispy Garlic Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 – 4 lb chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup Almond flour
  • 1/4 cup The perfect blend flour
  • 2 teaspoon Johnny’s All-Purpose Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon tarragon
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat Deep Fryer to 350°
  2. Rinse chicken, place in a bowl of ice cold-water with fresh minced ginger for 30-minutes. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the rest of the ingredients. Mix flours together and place in a Ziploc bag, to be ready to add chicken and shake to coat.
  4. Take chicken wings out of the bowl and pat dry.
  5. Coat wings with olive oil.
  6. Place several wings at a time in the Ziploc bag with the flour mixture ( a few at a time), lay wings in a single layer on a baking sheet, and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  7. Take wings out of the fridge coat a second time with flour mixture, again.
  8. Deep fry until golden brown.

NOTES

**Do not overlap wings. Giving the wings enough room will allow them to cook evenly and crisp up all around.

** I love lots of garlic and with every Johnny’s Seasonings container we buy, I would add an addition of granulated garlic.

Air Fryer Method: Place in the air fryer in a single layer with enough space separating them for the air to circulate around the chicken. Otherwise, they will stick together. Using a large air fryer will allow you to achieve the best result in just 1 round. Great for a large family or crowd.

Bake Method: Bake wings at 400°F for 40 minutes or until cooked through. Makes wings extra crispy. Flipping halfway through.

Serve the wings with celery and carrots sticks with a side of dressing: either bleu cheese or ranch. The best store-bought blue cheese dressing is Litehouse Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing.
