Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

It’s game day and you are getting ready to feed a crowd; Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings are a MUST and a great alternative to buffalo wings. And, is one of my favorites. You can never have enough wings; made with chicken wings, butter, parmesan, garlic, and spices. They can be prepared with either fresh or frozen wings and are always a hit.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings are bursting with flavor for a party appetizer, game day. They can be baked or air-fried. Furthermore, they’re coated in garlic, parmesan cheese, and herbs, and seasonings. Moreover, I love using roasted garlic in all my recipes has been a favorite thing to make when a recipe calls for garlic. My husband and son like extra crispy, so I broil the wings with the last 10 minutes of the baking time.

You will need:

  • chicken wings
  • the perfect blend flour (optional)
  • Kirkland sweet mesquite seasoning (Costco)
  • butter
  • garlic
  • parmesan grated or shredded
  • parsley

Equipment needed:

  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Foil
  • Cooling Rack

First arrange your chicken in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or coated with nonstick cooking spray. Keeping a careful watch and bake until they are lightly browned, flip over halfway through the baking process. It usually takes 35 minutes to lightly brown the wings.

Second, prepare the Garlicky-Parmesan Chicken Wing Sauce; melt butter. Add Johnny’s garlic spread seasoning and cayenne pepper.

For a Southwest flavor: Kirkland Sweet Mesquite Seasoning is perfect for this recipe because it has everything you need for a smoky and robust flavor that will tantalize your tastebuds; including sea salt, chili pepper, and  smoked paprika. Great for steaks, burgers, ribs, chicken, and turkey.

  • Start by placing a cooling rack on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Set wings in a single layer about 1/2 inch apart.
  • Season wings with seasonings.
  • Transfer wings on the middle rack in the oven. Bake for 35 – 45 minutes. Halfway through the baking time, turn wings over. For crisper wings, and sprinkle the top with the minced garlic and broil for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Remove wings from the oven, drizzle with melted butter.
  • Plate wings and garnish with parmesan and parsley. Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing and celery or carrot sticks.

NOTES

Air Fryer Method – **Do not overlap wings. Giving the wings enough room will allow them to cook evenly and crisp up all around. Using a large air fryer will allow you to achieve the best result in just 1 round. Great for a large family or crowd.

** I love lots of garlic and with every Johnny’s Seasonings container we buy, I would add an addition of granulated garlic.

Have a variety of dipping sauces available for those that have a preference. A good brand to choose for dipping sauce; Litehouse – chunky blue cheese dressing and a variety of ranch dressing (homestyle, avocado ranch with bacon, jalapeno ranch).
